Born in some crap hospital and the dropped off at my Grandma's door step in Yuma, Arizona. I definitely have your attention now don't I? My life is a strange one, I grew up with my biological Grandmother, who proceeded to raise yet another child. In time she became my Mom, in the mean time she had to put up with my millions of questions.
"Are you writing a book?" she would often ask me. Little did she know I would be here today doing this about page for you to read. Looks like I am writing a book Mom, several actually. Least that's the plan anyway.
I dropped out of high school and got my Good Enough Diploma then decided that I would pursue an Associates in Visual Communications. Sounds fancy right? Wrong its a load of hogs crap. It's digital advertisement, I wanted to be a game designer!
Anyway, it wasn't what I wanted to do with myself and I failed to see where I would use it at all. SO, I decided to pursue a life of stupidity and mischief!! Yes, I became a bad boy! That lasted just as long as the Associates did and I moved to the Grand Canyon. Where supposedly I worked, but really I was just parting night after night.
If your this far your probably thinking "This is not what I expected at all!" and your right, I'm no saint. It wasn't till I left the Grand Canyon and got the metaphorical piss kicked out of me by my older brother where I really got my head on straight.
I spent a few years, rebuilding my life from the ground up. Once I reached my peak where I was at, I pursued a career in the Trucking Industry! YAY! Big Trucks!! Yes, I got my CDL and traveled the USA! Coast to Coast for at least 8 months, then I transferred back to southern Arizona, where I hauled stuff for Walmart! Yeah I know you love that place.
Oh yeah this is where it gets Juicy! So I worked mostly Arizona with Vegas and the west coast of New Mexcio, "New Mexico doesn't have a west coast!" that's what I'm calling the border, deal with it. So, I was with these guys for a year, during which I reconnected with the mother of my daughters. Oh yeah did I forget to mention, I have kids! Two teenage daughters to be exact! YAY me! Told you it got juicy.
After rekindling what we once had we got married, finally! Did I mention I met her when I was 5? So, I married one of the most patient people (cause she has to deal with me) I've ever met. She is definitely something, because not only does she have to deal with the giant child (me), she has to put up with my clones! In female form! Everyone please pray for my wife.
"This guy hasn't talked at all about writing."
Your right! I haven't because this is about me, not about my writing! Jerks. I first started writing when I was in high school, well a form of writing anyway. It was called Role Playing and it was done in chat rooms on the interwebs. I had gotten hooked! I would role play so much I had like 200 something characters I would write for at any given time. Like I said hooked.
This lead me to write my first book (kinda) Senior year but lost it when I dropped out and thus it was never published. You know cause Self-Publishing back then wasn't really that common. I continued to role play for several years, I was able to hone my skills and eventually I stopped.
"NOOOOOOOO!"
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. What a shame! That's alright cause this does have a happy ending. Cause while I was being an epic Trucker! I was also working on the Urban Legends Online universe. However, before we got to that point, I had developed 4 other major story projects that I will drag out of the dirt as I get further along on the Urban Legends Online series.
I met a man while I was trying to return to the Professional Wrestling indie-scene who was working on a book as well. I helped him with editing and when he was ready to publish I told him about my idea to start a publishing company. And now I'm a proud owner of this fine website your looking at right now. Just sayin'!
"Who the heck is letting this guy talk so much?"
Your the one reading, I just made the page. Carry on!
To know more about that, we'll have to go back to the high school days...
Yes I did/do Profession Wrestling. I was trained by a local crew in Yuma, and wrestled for several years until I left, then around 2018 I dipped my toes back in, wrestled on and off for a couple of years. I am still a wrestler of Revolt Wrestling in Yuma, least till they stop doing it.
May share more on this at a later time!
I've tweeted, and posted about this topic before. I've had many many inspirations growing up in why I write the way that I do, but as I've gotten older my style has been refined and with the Urban Legends Online series I know where I wanna take my career. Below I will talk about each individual that has contributed to why I'm doing all of this. This section is me giving these guys their dues. Whether they like it or not.
God, is someone new to me. I was never big into religion but I was always aware of a "guy in the sky" scenario. To me there was so much in this world that science could never explain, and I found faith in knowing He existed. I may be the worst Christian you've ever met but I give God the glory when it comes to my ideas and talent to write. Cause I couldn't do it with out Him.
My Family and closest friends, are obviously influential in my life and often inspire many characters. They are troopers and everyone that knows me, knows I'm a handful. To my Mom & Dad, you guys are the best! To my Wife who has to deal with me working everyday and night, you are an amazing woman and I admire you so much. To my girls, although I don't say it enough you two are my reason for everything, I love you two with all my heart. To Juan and Eddie, you guys will never truly know what you guys mean to me. To those of you not previously mentioned, you guys know who I'm talking to, y'all are rock stars! Especially those of you who have to put up with me multiple times a week.
Davis Ashura, is the author of the William Wilde series. Yes he has written other stuff but the series I mentioned is where I get a lot of my influence from. The interactions between the characters is a camaraderie that I've grown up with and never had seen it put in words. His unique perspective on magic I have never seen before his books. He is one of my top 5 authors that I follow, and folks he is one of the nicest people ever! Just talk to him one time! You'll see.
Steve McHugh, is the author of the Hellequin Chronicles. He too has written other stuff as well but it was this series that has inspired my main series. The way he writes about the legends of myth and lore has opened my eyes to a unique way to think of our gods and myths. Steve is also a best selling author and he is awesome! Also a Top 5 Author in my massive list of favorite authors.
Luke Chmilenko, is the author of the Ascend Online series. He has just recently released another book and it looks awesome! This man right here though! He will ever hold a special place in my heart, he was my introduction into LitRPG. I had never heard of it before I read Ascend Online, Luke in my eyes became a god because he introduced me into a world I didn't know I needed. He is the biggest reason I've pursued to write a LitRPG as my main genre. Because of this he will remain in my Top 5 Authors for all eternity.
Readers, let's be real for a second. Really what it all boils down to is you guys. I've always enjoyed writing, but you guys who are reading this right now are a big inspiration to me. So thank you for being amazing!
